| Beta Program Overview |
The objective of our Compass Silver Beta Program is to gather broad customer feedback before the product is released. Take this opportunity to test Compass Silver in a real-world environment. You will be one step ahead and assisting our development team to improve the quality of our future product releases. We also hope that your experience testing Compass Silver early will assist you to develop strategies for migrating to the new product when it is released.
At JBlade, the Beta version signifies a "feature complete" product, indicating no new features will be added. Once Beta is reached, we move into the Stabilization phase of our product life cycle.
The Beta is available to companies with access to AdvancedTCA hardware and willing to provide feedback to our engineering team. It is confidential in nature, because it is prior to a public announcement of the product. There is no charge for participation in the Beta program. JBlade reserves the right to change the Beta program or the Compass Silver feature set at any time. |
| Bug Reporting |
It's a Beta program and there will be bugs. To make submitting a bug report as painless as possible the Compass has an integrated bug reporting tool which automatically copies identifying information from the shelf to the bug report, greatly increasing the details surrounding the bug. To use the integrated bug tool Compass must be able to contact the internet address www.jblade.com.
You can review bugs reported by anyone in the Beta program. The identities of the person and company are hidden except for members of your own company. |
| Time Period |
Beta phase is expected to start March 18, 2010. The software license expires on June 1,2010 and after that date you are not licensed to run the software and it will not work. |
| Maximum Blade Count |
The initial release of the Beta Software is limited to four shelves containing 50 Blades. Compass is designed to support a maximum of 160 ATCA Blades and testing on large systems is strategically important to us. If your company would like to test more than 50 Blades with a single system manager please contact JBlade product development. We can provide software updates and, if necessary, make a visit to your site for the testing. |

The Beta license restricts you from disclosing information about Compass or reselling it. You can review the Compass Silver Beta license

Each copy of the software contains a unique serial number and is licensed to your company. The Compass Silver download contains information that uniquly identifes you when reporting bugs so you can not share the download with anyone else in your company. Instead they must download their own copy of Compass Silver. A link to JBlade's privacy policy is found below. |
